GOOD GOLLY BECK WAS RIGHT --But is there a bigger problem?

Ok, let me be come out and say I think that Glenn Beck is nothing short of an entertainer who is a Fox News Shock Jock. His MO is to say outlandish things like Obama "has a deep hatred for white people or white culture" but several minutes later when pushed by his own peers on Fox and Friends, he stated "I don't think Obama has a problem with white people. This guy I believe is a racist".

Now, let it be known that I also think that Beck is terrible for the Republican party and if he could make more money as a Liberal, he'd swing left tomorrow. That said, he's getting credit for something that well, is a good thing for America. Glenn was one of the first people to come out and pin Van Jones as a racist and a communist. So let's give credit where credit is due.

Nice Job Glenn. (Now why don't you try to stop being such a clown.)

It's not secret that Obama is a rookie trying his best however, this appointment has me worried. Here's why; Daschle, Richards, Jones, Gregg, Killefer, Geithner, all had problems getting to through the process yet they passed Obama's vetting process. That's a lot of errors early on in his presidency. What else is he not doing well? Also, how many Czars does this guy have? Well a few people are reporting that, including politico.com:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/26779.html

It's a lot, and both aisles appear to be complaining. So is it any wonder that people are nervous about health care, the economy, their job, etc? It appears President Obama is somewhat green and needs to take more time before he executes. I'm not saying he's good or bad for the country as really, it's just too soon. But I do think he does make problems with his pattern to rush something through as opposed to taking a bit longer and doing it right.

How can Republicans find their way?

It's no secret that republicans are lost these days which is a sad state. Between Sarah and Rush the moderate middle is running away from their rhetoric and the party. There needs to be stock taken with the talking heads on the news that are doing more harm than good to the party overall. Their mission is not to promote Republican ideals but rather to profit from strife and boost ratings. There needs to be a transformation of sorts with the party where they stop, take a breath, and collect themselves. There is a need for the party to move towards a fiscal conservatism and move away from moral issues. In the end, we will never be the party of the Regan era without a more moderate approach to how we lead and govern.
I propose the next time we hear Rush tell us that he hopes someone fails, or Glenn calls Obama a racist and then literally in the next sentence says something else we call them out on it. We have the power to stop these talking heads from hurting our party. Call their sponsors and complain, call their stations, or blog on them directly. But don’t let them selfishly ruin the Republican party because they feel it’s more important to scare and shock to create ratings than to simply find a solution to our problems and truly participate in the process.
I want to hear from you out there. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike. We are all in this together and will need to work as a unified group to solve these difficult problems. So put down your biases, walk away from your extreme beliefs and let’s find some middle-ground we can all live with.

Am I a Republican?

Watching helplessly as my country dissolves into the SSA (Socialist States of America) I came to ask myself where the others such as me are, where are the Republicans? It seemed to me our best hope of avoiding the trillion dollar entitlement program framed as Health Care Reform lie with the Blue Dog Democrats! Surely I have this reversed. Surely our best arguments, our best leadership, our best chance at defeating yet another socialist agenda item must be rooted in my own Republican party. But as I watched and listen to volley after repeated volley in the battle for the hearts and minds of the American people I seemed to realize how I came to believe our salvation may have a source other than which my conservative view of the world would assume.

I heard Palin talk about Death……….. I heard the Blue Dogs say it cost too much for too little. Given intelligence ratings I’d give the Blue Dogs 10 and Republicans negative 10. I understand that Sarah Palin’s statements were mild compared to the constant drone from Hitler’s Himmler, Nancy Pelosi, however Himmler suffers from reality issues which have placed her in a position of permanent grace. Much as you would bestow grace to a retarded child should they babble nonsense or incoherently in the store.

As the Senate committee of six continue to work out a solution which can pass in the Senate with Blue Dog and Republican support it becomes clear that Hitler and Himmler do not necessarily have absolute control over then majority of Americans who do not wish to see a socialist solution. This lack of absolute control is due to the Blue Dogs. Make no mistake about it. With so much dependent on our strange Blue Dogs bedfellows one would believe that Republicans would not wish to antagonize an ally just as the White House begins making noises about “going it alone”. However that is exactly what our Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele did with childish flare by responding with “Get it to the floor. Up or down, baby”. The leading Democrat on the committee of six is pushing Obama back on his artificial timelines by saying the bill will be finished when it’s finished and too important to do otherwise and our side says “Up or down, baby”!!!! Given an intelligence rating you add up the numbers, Up or Down Baby?

Make no mistake “go it alone” is about the only option Obama has left once Pelosi pulled his leash up short Monday after he floated the idea of riding the Senates coat tails with their likely co-opt option rather than the entitlement public option. Both he and Himmler will be applying every bit of pressure they can on the Blue Dogs to toe the party line in their efforts to go it alone. I’m not sure that “Up or Down, Baby” is the best way to entice them to stay and work on what could even turn out to be an intelligent alternative.

So am I a Republican? I think so, I always have been. In light of the party’s lack of proficiency in obtaining a decent intelligent rating………maybe I don’t want to tell anyone about it. One thing is for sure, the Blue Dogs have hit my radar, if they are not trying to take guns away from citizens and giving away tax refunds of $2500 when you only paid $900 in total taxes, if they’re………well I didn’t know about them and they have become important to all of us so perhaps I should find out what they are for and against. AT least I know they do not seem to be slaves to the Third Reich.

Introduction

Hello,

I'm Kattfish and I am a Moderate Republican. I say that because my liberal parents call me a right winged nut and my wife calls me a RHINO (Republican in name only). This is an introduction to what this blog will be about. My partner Cowboy is a Conservative Democrat / Republican depending on the issue. We are interested in stirring up conversation and debate on the Internet regarding what we (and we hope you) consider important.

Kattfish.
